Material examined. CHINA: Sichuan: 1♂, Emeishan, Xianfeng Temple, 29°33′N, 103°21′E, alt. 1500–1700 m, 25.IIV.2012, Peng, Dai & Yin leg. (SHNU); 1♂ 3♀♀, Emeishan, Hongchunping, 29°33′N, 103°22′E, alt. 1100 m, 27.IIV.2012, Peng, Dai & Yin leg. (SHNU) ; 2♂♂ 2♀♀, Jiulong County, Hongba, alt. 1700m, 8.VIII.2005, Yi leg. (SHNU) ; Hubei: 2♂♂ 3♀♀, Wufeng County, Houhe N. R., 30°05′09′′N, 110°33′05′′E, alt. 1160 m, 6.VII.2013, Dai, Peng & Xie leg. (SHNU) .

Measurements. BL: 5.1–5.5 mm, FL: 2.6–2.9 mm. HW: 0.98–1.08 mm, PL: 0.85–0.90mm, PW: 0.83–0.87 mm, EL: 1.17–1.26 mm, EW: 1.18–1.23 mm, SL: 0.98–1.07 mm. Head 0.83–0.90 times as wide as elytra, pronotum 1.00–1.05 times as long as wide, elytra 0.98–1.04 times as long as wide.

Distribution. China (Sichuan, Hubei).

Remarks. The species is very similar to Dianous ruginosus Zheng, 1993 and D. aerator Puthz, 2016, all of them can be collected from Emeishan, but it can be distinguished from latter two species by larger size, slightly longer antennae and longer legs. The species is new to Hubei.
