Re-description Based on female (n =5)

Dorsum (Fig. 25): Colour in life red, Body oval in shape. Length of body from setae v2-h1 213–221; width from sc2-sc2 120–131. Anterior margin of propodosoma deeply notch, depth of notch 18-21, propodosoma with slight lateral lobes anterior marginally; median area of propodosoma framed by longitudinal, broken striae with irregular transverse striae inside this area; lateral area with longitudinal to irregular striae. Opisthosomal integument entirely with rugose pattern; anterior and posterior parts of opisthosoma separated by two plates; dorsal body setae narrow lanceolate serrate to setiform minute serrate, subequal in length, except seta h2 flagellate, whip-like; dorsal opisthosomal pores present in area between setae d3 and e3. Opisthosoma narrower than propodosoma. All dorsal setae short (except h2), not more than 13 in length; setae v2, sc1, and sc2 minute to setiform, third pair of propodosoma setae sc2 longer than first and second pairs v2 and sc1; setae e3 shorter than distance between e3 and f2, h2 flagellate and elongate serrate. Material Examined: Five females (KSMAAS24 -Ten-Ten-1–5), Cichorium spp. ( Asteraceae), Jazan, Saudi Arabia, 17. 0291889°N, 43. 138587°E, February 23, 2024, coll. N.A. Elgoni

Distribution: South Africa (Meyer,1979, 1993) and Saudi Arabia (present study)

Remarks: Our re-description matches with the original description except setae in coxa I which three in original description and two setae in our re-description and variation in the length of the dorsal setae. The species T. emeticae was previously reported from Lannea edulis and Trichilia emetica, while in this study, it was collected from Cichorium spp.
