Thoracophoracarus uniacetabulatus n. sp.

Type series. Holotype female, unnamed creek Bansadon Trail, Inobong, Crocker Range, Borneo, Malaysia, 5° 51.456 N 116° 0 8.403 E, alt. 436 m asl, 18-ix-2012 (RMNH). Paratypes: one female, same data as holotype (RMNH); one female, Kibamabangan River at waterfall, Inobong, Crocker Range, Borneo, Malaysia, 5° 51.280 N 116° 0 8.417 E, alt. 433 m asl, 18-ix-2013 (SP).
Diagnosis. Genital plates very narrow, one acetabulum wide, only near gonopore 2-3 acetabula posteriorly outside the acetabular row, swollen laterally.
Description. Colour greenish, idiosoma 518 (486-518) long and 425 (413-450) wide, in central part with strongly convex lateral margins, narrowed and truncated anteriorly (margin slightly concave) and posteriorly (margin straight). Preocularia on small tubercles, postocularia lying close to dgl-1. Tips of Cx-I and -II extending beyond anterior idiosoma margin. Suture lines of coxae partly indistinct, especially posterior margin of fourth coxae. Genital plates very narrow, one acetabulum wide, near gonopore 2-3 acetabula outside this row, acetabula small and difficult to separate from idiosoma pores. Genital plates extending to lateral idiosoma margin and there swollen. Gonopore field 76 long, 98 wide; gonopore valves indistinctly sclerotized. Length of P1-P5: 23, 46, 24, 41, 28. Length of I-leg-4-6: 50, 60, 54. Length of IV-leg-4-6: 72, 88, 82. III and IV-Legs with numerous swimming setae.
Male: Unknown.
Etymology. Named for the one acetabulum wide genital plates.
Remarks. Thoracophorus uniacetabulatus n. sp. is highly distinct in the very narrow genital plates; in all other species of the genus acetabula are arranged in multiple rows. As the male is not known, the new species cannot be assigned to a subgenus.
