Botys (Phlyctaenia) murcialis Ragonot, 1895: xxiii.
TL: Spain, Prov. Murcia, Algezares.
Material examined. Ardebil Prov.: 2 ♂♂ 2 ♀♀, Moghân, Doost Kandi, N 39˚41΄07.4˝, E 47˚57΄58.6˝, 34 m, 18.viii.2014, Afsariân leg. (gen. prep. HA-2426, HA-2440, HMIM) .
Distribution. Spain and Morocco (Lucas 1942; Rungs 1979; Tränkner & Nuss 2010).
Remarks. As figured by Tränkner & Nuss (2010: 61, 62), there are some differences in the male genitalia of A. murcialis and A. ochrofascialis, especially in the structure of the phallus (Fig. 3A, C, D, F). Examination of several males from the two species revealed that both have deciduous cornuti in their phallus (Fig. 3A, C, D, F). Moreover, the fibula of the examined males of A. murcialis is relatively broader at the base compared to A. ochrofascialis (Fig. 3A, B, D, E). As noted by Slamka (2013), in the female genitalia of examined A. murcialis specimens, the ductus bursae is broader than that of A. ochrofascialis (Fig. 3G, I). Based on our examination, A. murcialis has a longer ductus bursae than A. ochrofascialis . Additionally, there are slight differences between them in the structure of the anterior part of the antrum (Fig. 3G‒J). This species is newly reported for the fauna of Iran.
