Discussion. From etymology consideration, the species name is derived from Latin word truncat, Greek word lob, and masculine suffix -us meaning “roundly truncate lobes of male 9th abdominal tergite” (Li et al., 2015). After a careful examination of the type specimens of Apterolarnaca ovala, we found that the species was a synonym of Apotrechus truncatolobus Li & Liu, 2015 and Apotrechus truncatolobus should be transferred to the genus Apterolarnaca . According to the article of 34.2 the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature (The Code, 1999), we replace the masculine suffix - us with feminine -a.
