Tectocepheus velatus (Michael, 1880)

Material examined: Esquel: Chuquiraga aurea (1), Stipa sp. (1), Gobernador Costa: Stipa sp. (1), Acaena splendens (1), Azorella monantha (2). Alto Rio Senguer: Senecio filaginoides (4), Mulinum spinosum (1), Stipa sp. (1). The species was recorded under grass steppe and shrub steppe.

Records in Argentina: Buenos Aires, Chubut, Entre Ríos, Misiones, Río Negro, subantarctic region (Fredes 2018). Comments: the distribution of this species is cosmopolitan (Subías 2004, update 2018).
