DISTRIBUTION: Great and Little Balkhan and Kopet Dag Mtns and Badkhiz desert, S Turkmenia, NC (Mazanderan Prov.) and NE (Khorassan Prov.) Iran, and NW Afghanistan.

SYNONYMS: elburzensis .

The Afghanistan distribution is based upon specimens in the Field Museum of Natural History; we relied on other series from that Institution and records in Vorontsov et al.
