DISTRIBUTION: Gambia, Senegal, to Ghana and Burkina Faso.

SYNONYMS: pietà.

COMMENTS: Subgenus Taterona . Reviewed by Rosevear (1969). Shown to be morphologically distinct from T. robusta by Bates (1985). Gautun et al. (1985) provided chromosomal information.
