TYPE LOCALITY: India, Maharashtra State, Poona Dist, Sinhgarh (18°23'N, 73°42'E) .

DISTRIBUTION: India; known only from the Sinhgarh Plateau in the Maharashtra region.

COMMENTS: Morphological comparisons between this distinctive species and M. gleadowi, M. kathleenae, and M. meltada were reported by Mishra and Dhanda (1975).
