TYPE SPECIES: Mylomys cuninghamei Thomas, 1906 (= Golunda dyboioskii Pousargues, 1893).

COMMENTS: The Indian Golunda and Mylomys are usually considered close relatives of each other, but Musser (1987) discussed traits that indicated a distant relationship between the two genera and a closer phylogenetic alliance between Mylomys and Pelomys .
