TYPE LOCALITY: Indonesia, C Pinedapa, 100 ft .

DISTRIBUTION: Sulawesi: known only from the central part and the SW peninsula.

COMMENTS: A lowland species represented by two modern specimens from the type locality and a few subfossil fragments from the SW peninsula (Musser, 1984).
