NOTE: Evans (1958a: 189), Athias-Henriot (1959: 161), Womersley (1961: 195), Farrier & Hennessey (1993: 39), Gwiazdowicz (2007: 90) and Karg (2007: 130) considered Leioseius Berlese to be a senior synonym of Arctoseiodes . In this publication we adopt the interpretation of Lindquist & Evans (1965: 27) and Halliday et al. (1998: 5), who considered them to be distinct genera.
