TYPE DEPOSITORY: Istituto Sperimentale per la Zoologia Agraria, Firenze, Italy.

TYPE LOCALITY AND HABITAT: Jakarta (= Batavia), Java, Indonesia, on Tipulidae fly [Animalia]. NOTE: Berlese's description of this species was brief and general, and was not illustrated. Berlese (1916a) transferred it to Lasioseius without providing any extra information, and there it must remain until the types are reexamined.
