NOTES: (a) Lasioseius berlesei Willmann, 1943 was a replacement name for Seius muricatus sensu Berlese (1887b) . It is a junior homonym and objective synonym of Lasioseius berlesei (Oudemans, 1938); (b) Specimens reported as Lasioseius (Lasioseius) berlesei (Oudemans) by Westerboer (1963: 264) were re-identified as Orthadenella lawrencei by Athias-Henriot (1973a: 22) and Christian & Karg (2006: 124) and described as L. frondeus by Karg (1965: 284); (c) Karg (1980: 348) considered L. berlesei to be a senior synonym of Lasioseius confusus Evans. We adopted the interpretation of Walter & Lindquist (1989: 2800), considering them to be distinct species; (d) some of the specimens reported as Lasioseius paucisetosus Westerboer by Lapina (1976a: 72) were suspected to correspond to L. berlesei and Lasioseius confusus Evans by Walter & Lindquist (1989: 2800).
