Diagnosis Pronotum short and robust (LP: WPM = 3.10), nearly as long as pterothorax. Profemoral ISs rows: anteroventral row with six gradually shortened processes along distal half of profemur, major process with secondary-quaternary branches present, primary branch 4.0 × length of secondary branch, anterior branch nearly as long as secondary branch; posteroventral row with 15 processes, not gradually shortened, two processes present between level of major and primary processes. Forewing macular with an arcuate markings commencing from 2ra-rp to its median, 16 or 19 costal crossveins proximad pterostigma, 1/3 of them bifurcated, proximal rp-m present; hind wing CuA with 11 branches several bifurcated; CuP proximal stem reduced, weak. Female sternum 7 posterolaterally produced; gonocoxites 9 short ventrally produced; ectoprocts ventrally not produced.

Material examined Holotype, CAU BA-0015, amber piece preserving a complete female adult of P. jiaxiaoae . It is polished in the form of an elliptical transparent cabochon, with length × width c. 21.30 × 15.13 mm, height c. 6.78 mm.
