“ Eriolus ” paruensis Piza, 1979
This species is misplaced in Eriolus . All known females of this genus have much shorter and curved ovipostors. E. parunesis has a straight and much longer ovipositor. Due to the dark coloration of the dorsal area of the pronotum it resembles Subria, as well as Eschatoceras . But it does not comply with other characters of those genera, in particular not with the respective type species, although S. amazonica has a long and straight ovipositor. Even though E. paruensis is not an Eriolus, we could not find an appropriate place where it belongs, and for now leave it in that genus.
