Diagnosis: Lateral outline kidney-shaped. Dorsal margin in the centre running fairly straight, rising slightly towards the posterior, as a consequence the maximum carapace height lies far towards the posterior. The anterior margin is pulled down towards the front in a distinctive way, the anterior part of the ventral margin curves strongly inwards.
Holotype: Carapace, SMF Xe 4229.
Paratypes: 2 carapaces under SMF Xe 4230 .
Dimensions: Holotype, length 0.84mm, height 0.51mm.
Remarks (Bate et al. herein): Candona ? redunca was established as the type species of the genus Salvadoriella by Krömmelbein (1963). A ‘ Candona sp. ’ also figured, carapace, SMF Xe 4224.
