CYPRIDEA (MORININOIDES) Krömmelbein, 1962
Type Species: Cypridea (Morininoides) candeiensis Krömmelbein, 1962
Diagnosis: A medium-sized to large, more or less extended carapace with a definite anterior cardinal angle and with distinctive sculpture: on each valve there are three strong, node-like swellings which mark the corner points of an irregular triangle; one node in the “eye region”, the second on the posterodorsal margin, the third in the posterior valve section behind the posterior dorsal node. The rostral area is markedly developed. The size relationships of the two valves can vary: the left valve or the right valve can be the larger valve. Most of the fine sculpture is in the form of pits.
