Diagnosis: A large subspecies of P. tenuistriata (carapace length about 1.1mm) with an elongated and relatively low carapace.

Holotype: Carapace, BfB 7799.

Paratypes: Not deposited.

Dimensions: Holotype, length 1.12mm, height 0.57mm, width 0.36mm.

Remarks (Bate et al. herein): The base species Petrobrasia tenuistriata Krömmelbein, 1965 is not mentioned.
