1971 Theriosynoecum quadrinodosum n. sp. —Krömmelbein & Weber, p. 62–63, pl. 12, figs 54–55 (and fig. 56 = aberrant form).
Diagnosis: A new Theriosynoecum species, presumably from the roberti -group, with the following peculiarities: four rounded to more or less stretched out node-like valve swellings, directed slightly towards the posterior, on the posterior field of each valve. A node in each of the postero-ventral, posterior, anterior postero-dorsal and posterior ventro-median positions.
Holotype: Carapace ♀, BfB 7831.
Paratype: Carapace ♂, BfB 7832.
Dimensions: ♀ Holotype, length 0.70mm, height 0.40mm, width 0.37mm.
Dimensions: ♂ Paratype, length 0.70mm, height 0.39mm, width 0.31mm.
Remarks (Bate et al. herein): An ‘aberrant carapace’ ♂, BfB 7833, also noted by Krömmelbein & Weber (1971, p. 63).
