Remarks. Bravo (2005) provided a differential diagnosis for M. (M.) barrettoi and M. (M.) pilosella based on the drawings of male terminalia of Müller (1895). We include here, complete illustrations of the male and female head (Figs. 24–25), an illustration of the wing, showing the connection between vein R 5 and M 1 (Fig. 26) and a detailed illustration of female hypogynium, showing the internal lateral bristles (Figs. 27–28). The connection of veins R 5 and M 1 is found in both males and females, but this can vary from a well delimited to a faint connection.
