Type locality. Africa, Southern Africa, Transvaal, N.W. Transvaal, Zoutpansberg Mountains, Zoutpan, 8 miles north of Vivo . Type ♂ is Ditsong Museum, formerly known as Transvaal Museum, South Africa .

Distribution. This species was previously recorded from Zimbabwe (Son 1959) and South Africa (Brown 1959).
