Type locality. Africa, Southern Africa, KwaZulu-Natal. No type examined .

Material. SOUTH AFRICA: Northern Cape: Kenhardt (S29.345736, E21.157857) 22. viii.1942 coll. F.S.W. Schumann— 1♂ (USTB); KwaZulu Natal: Pinetown (S29.8206, E30.8867) 03.ii.2009 coll. Leigh— 2♀, 2♂ (ANS) .

Distribution. This species was previously recorded from South Africa (Uvarov 1922; Dirsh 1956b).

Remarks. This genus was erected by Giglio Tos in 1907. It was later revised by Dirsh (1965) and Mason (1966). This genus was also recently revised by Rowell (2015). As this genus has recently been revised, its taxonomic state is well known. Its distribution is mostly to the North of South Africa, and no new species are expected to occur in South Africa.
