Thymoites ilhabela new species

Material examined. Holotype. BRAZIL: São Paulo, Ilhabela, Parque Estadual de Ilhabela, 23°52’04”S; 45°20’29”W, 09–15.X.2001, Equipe Biota leg., 1M (IBSP 166174). Paratypes BRAZIL: same data as the holotype, 1M, 1F (IBSP 166152). Paratype. BRAZIL: same data as the holotype, 1F (MCN 52001).

Etymology. The specific name is a noun in apposition taken from the type locality.
Diagnosis. The male of Thymoites ilhabela new species differs from those of the other species in the shape of the carapace, with distal area forming a neck and anterior eyes in the tip of the projection (Figs. 11, 12, 49–53), the palp resembles that of T. mirus Levi, 1964 (see Levi, 1964: fig. 34), but differs in the conductor non-pointed and the shape of embolus (Fig. 10, 56–59). The female of T. ilhabela new species is close to T. mirus Levi (see Levi, 1964: figs. 32, 33), but differs from it in the smaller spermathecae (Figs. 13, 14) and the shape of fertilization ducts (Fig. 14).
Description. Male holotype (from Parque Estadual de Ilhabela, IBSP 166174): Total length 1.93. Carapace length 1.13, width 0.54. Sternum length 0.35, width 0.37. Abdomen length 0.75, width 0.67, height 0.67. Leg formula I/IV/II/III; segment length (I/II/IV/III): femora 0.84/0.71/0.46/0.71; patellae + tibiae 0.90/0.61/0.42/0.65; metatarsi + tarsi 0.94/0.71/0.44/0.71; total 2.68/2.03/1.32/2.07.Carapace (Figs. 11, 12, 49) yellow-brown, with a long projection anteriorly, AME near tip, with longitudinal row setae above the anterior median eyes (Figs. 11, 12). Eyes with dark borders. Eyes (Figs. 49, 50): PLE and PME bigger than the other eyes. Sternum, endites, chelicerae, and labium brown. Legs yellow-brown, except coxae yellow. Leg I (Figs. 54, 55) and II with three macrosetae anteriorly. Abdomen (Fig. 11) spherical, pale yellow. Spinnerets pale yellow. Palp with non-pointed conductor and filiform embolus (Fig. 10, 56–59).
Female paratype (same locality as male, IBSP 166152): Total length 1.57. Carapace length 0.65, width 0.56. Clypeus height 0.10. Sternum length 0.35, width 0.39. Abdomen length 0.88, width 0.86, height 0.86. Leg formula I/IV/II/IV; segment length (I/II/III/IV): femora 0.77/0.67/0.42/0.65; patellae + tibiae 0.73/0.56/0.46/0.63; metatarsi + tarsi 0.88/0.73/0.56/0.69; total 2.38/1.96/1.44/1.97. Carapace brown. Eyes as in male. Sternum, endites, chelicerae, and labium brown. Legs brown, except coxae yellow. Abdomen longer than wide, yellow. Spinnerets yellow. Epigynum (Fig. 60) with not sinuous copulatory ducts (Fig. 14).
