Solomon Islands, 1 male with eggs (MNHN­Py 1043), station CP1822, N/ O 'Alis' Campagne SALOMON 1, 09º51.8'S 160º51.8'E, 51–54 m; 03/10/2001, coll. Bouchet, Dayat, Warén, Richer­IRD.

Remarks: A species recorded from Japan and the Philippines to Indonesia, and from depths between 3 and 200 m; Stock (1991a) recorded it from New Caledonia and the Loyalty Islands.
