Pediobius facialis species group

Diagnosis. Body squat. In female, antenna very short and F3 considerably stout (e.g., Fig. 12 e), but in male less so (e.g., 12f). Mesoscutum and scutellum finely reticulate, and more finely so in notaular depressions.

Species included. Although there might be some confusion on the relationship among P. facialis, P. brachycerus and P. grunini (Nikol'skaya), we follow Bouček (1965a) and place them in the same species group. Besides, two Chinese species, P. narangae and P. tortricida are also included in this species group. However, instead of the " brachycerus -group", we call this species group as the " facialis -group" (ref. remarks under P. brachycerus).
