Comments. The specimens from Xue Shan were taken from vinegar baited pitfall traps set in a devastated mixed forest. Only the male holotype of this species, taken in the northern part of Xue Shan near Zhongdian, was known until now. Ocychinus monticola seems to be widely distributed in high elevation habitats of Xue Shan.
