Mironovia lagopus Bochkov and Skirnisson, 2010

Mironovia lagopus Bochkov and Skirnisson, 2010: 2, figs. 1–5.

Type host: Lagopus muta (Montin) ( Phasianidae). Type locality: Iceland.

This species was recently described from Lagopus muta (Montin) ( Phasianidae) from Iceland (Bochkov & Skirnisson 2010). Below we give a new host for this quill mite species.

Material examined. From quill of covert of Lagopus lagopus (Linnaeus) (new host): 6 females (AMU- SYR.324); NORWAY, Setesdal, 25 July 1926, coll. Bernhoft-Osa. Mites collected by M. Skoracki. All material is deposited in the AMU except 2 females in the ZSM.
