Genus Heteropsilopus Bigot, 1859

This genus has been reported from Yunnan (China), southern India, Australia and Sri Lanka. The presence of Heteropsilopus yunnanensis Liu, Zhu & Yang indicates the distribution of the genus might be wider than the previous assumption of Gondwanan origins (Liu et al. 2012). However, no species of Heteropsilopus were found during this research. Diagnosis of the genus is available in Bickel (1994), which is mostly based on Australian species.
