Elimaea (Bornelimaea) sympatrica media Gorochov, 2013: 15
Material examined. EAST MALAYSIA: Sabah State • 1♂; Tenompok Forest Reserve; N6.01842, E116.50272, 1405.0± 12.5 m.a.s.l.; 6 November 2023, 20h22; flying around in the forest understory; coll. M.K. Tan , R. Japir, M.A.B. Asidi & D.F.A. Damit; SBH.23.191 (FRC)
Remarks. The available male specimen is similar to Elimaea (Bornelimaea) sympatrica media Gorochov, 2013 and Elimaea (Bornelimaea) levi Gorochov, 2009 (from Mount Trus Madi) by the mirror of its right tegmen being almost round at the basal end (Fig. 3B), but differs from the latter species by the epiproct at apex more rounded. It is not as round as Elimaea (Bornelimaea) sympatrica sympatrica Gorochov, 2009 (Fig. 3D). The specimen also has a subgenital plate as reported for Elimaea (Bornelimaea) sympatrica media, which is somewhat more widely notched (Fig. 3F) than that in Elimaea (Bornelimaea) levi and more so than in Elimaea (Bornelimaea) sympatrica sympatrica .
Our male specimen was found in Tenompok Forest Reserve, which is not far from the south of Mount Kinabalu where this species was first discovered.
Distribution. Borneo (around Mount Kinabalu in Sabah)
