Ligymolpa madegassa Karsch 1890: 122 . (Western Madagascar)

Remarks.—A small olivaceous-green species, the head, pronotum and mesonotum striped with piceous, abdomen with castaneous within timbal cavity and transverse piceous fascia on tergite 8, silvery pile covering body, pygofer distal shoulder extended on either side of uncus, uncus with sinuous lateral margin expanding laterally from base and narrowing to apex. Body length is 15–17 mm, wingspan 42–53 mm with females larger than males (Karsch 1890).

Distribution.—The species is known only from Madagascar (Metcalf 1963b). Jacobi (1917) reported the species from western Madagascar.
