Remarks.—A small grayish brown species marked with piceous, body length 15–15.4 mm, wingspan 42–42.3 mm (Boulard 1999). The song is a constant buzz with a peak frequency of about 15 kHz (Boulard 1999; 2006b). The species is found in dense populations in the preforest prairies in southwestern Madagascar (Boulard 1999).
Distribution.—The species is known only from Madagascar (Sanborn 2013). Boulard (1999) reported the type series collected between Isifte and Ivohibe, Andrigitra, Madagascar.
