Rhinopsalta sicardi Melichar 1908: 59 . (Montes Ambre, Madagascar)

Remarks.—The only known species of the genus. It is a small (body length about 16 mm, wingspan about 24 mm), ferruginous species marked with gray dorsally and yellowish green ventrally, greenish costal margin and wing venation with fuscous distal apical cells and fore wing margin. The song is a continuous train of very short syllables with peak energy about 6 kHz (Boulard 1999).

Distribution.—The species is known only from Madagascar (Metcalf 1963b; Sanborn 2013). Boulard (1999) reports the species from a shrubby savannah, Nossy Bé.
