Remarks.—The species was reassigned to Anopercalna from Tibicen Latreille, 1825 by Sanborn (2015). It is a small, brownish-yellowish (possibly green when fresh) species marked with piceous spots and fascia with a body length about 15 mm and wingspan of 45–47 mm (Signoret 1860; Stål 1866). It is similar in size and markings to A. distanti but has an incomplete transverse fascia on the head, the median ocellus is not surrounded by piceous and the mesothorax has significant marking in A. distanti .
Distribution.—The species is known only from Madagascar (Metcalf 1963b).
