Malgachialna noualhieri Boulard 1980b: 50 . (Madagascar)
Remarks.—The truncated anterior margin of the head that does not extending beyond the anterior supra-antennal plates, the posteriorly tapering posteriorly male abdomen, and the small cruciform elevation. An ochraceous species marked with piceous, with a reddish head and red hind wing venation, body length about 24.5 mm and wingspan about 65 mm (Boulard 1980b). These characteristics quickly distinguish it from the new species.
Distribution.—The species is known only from Madagascar (Duffels & van der Laan 1985; Sanborn 2013) without specific location information (Boulard 1980b).
