Platypleura brancsiki Distant 1893: 52 . (Nossi-Bé Island, Madagascar)

Remarks.—The second of four species with the hind wings piceous or piceous-brown. It can be distinguished from Y. antiopa by the lighter areas in the distal hind wing apical cells, the lack of white apical areas in Y. heathi, and the lack of piceous spots on the distal apical cell veins that are found in Y. hova .

Distribution.—The species is only known from Madagascar (Metcalf 1963a; Duffels & van der Laan 1985). Distant (1893) reported the species from Nossi-Bé Island.
