Type material: Lectotype NHMUK 197991/1 and 1 paralectotype NHMUK 197991/2 (H. Cuming collection). Indirect lectotype selection by inference of holotype (Cernohorsky, 1969: 214).

Remarks: ‘N’Gor Bay, Cap Vert Peninsula, Senegal, West Africa’ designated as type locality by Bratcher & Cernohorsky (1987: 167).
