Type material: Lectotype NHMUK 197986/1 and 1 paralectotype 197986/2 (H. Cuming collection). Indirect lectotype selection by inference of holotype (Cernohorsky, 1969: 213).

Remarks: Terebra bruguieri Deshayes, 1859 nom. nov. for this species.
