Type locality: ‘ Sooloo Islands; from sandy mud, at a depth of about thirty fathoms’, ‘ H.M.S. Samarang’.

Label locality: ‘ China Seas’, ‘Voy. Samarang’.

Type material: Lectotype NHMUK 20030454/1 and 3 paralectotypes NHMUK 20030454/2-4 (H. Cuming collection). Indirect lectotype selection by inference of holotype (Cernohorsky, 1969: 219).
