Type material: MHNG-INVE-60161, five syntypes (Moricand coll.).

Remarks: Moricand did not indicate on how many specimens this variety was based, nor indicated the dimensions. His taxon label reads “ Helix rhodospira Md. / var. peristomata lutea”, which corresponds to the description. The current systematic position follows Richardson (1995).
