Remarks. Species known only from Argentina and Chile (Kaczmarek et al. 2015). Our specimens correspond perfectly with the original description (Mihelčič 1967) and the later re-description (Dastych 2000). Until the year 2000, this species had only been reported from the type locality in Argentina (Mihelčič 1967), however Dastych (2000) attributed Chilean specimens to this species that had previously been recorded as Mop. imberbis (Richters, 1908).
