Shaddai xianensis Ma (Fig. 12E–H)
Shaddai xianensis Ma in Chou & Ma, 1981:192
Alebra xianensis, Li, Liu, Wu, Ye & Huang, 2021:14 sphalm.transl.
Material examined. Holotype. ♂, Shaanxi Province, Xian City, Nanwutai Mountain, 25-VI-1980, coll. Ning Ma ; Paratype. 5♀, same data as holotype; 1♂ 2♀, same data as holotype except 15-V-1980; 3♂ 51♀, Hubei Province, Shennongjia National Park, alt. 1700m, 23-VI-2023, coll. Junru Zhang.
Note. The species S. shaanxiensis and S. xianensis were firstly described by Chou & Ma in 1981 from China. Here we provide photographs of their wings as Fig.12 (Figs 12A–D: S. shaanxiensis, 12A–B are the holotype, 12C–D are a specimen collected from Hubei Province; Figs 12E–H: S. xianensis, 12E–F are the holotype, Figs 12G–H are a specimen collected from Hubei Province).
The genus Shaddai has hind wing submarginal vein not confluent with vein RP, so 1st apical cell partially open (Figs 12B, 12D, 12F, 12H). But in the illustrations of the species S. shaanxiensis and S. xianensis, the hind wings of those 2 species were wrongly drawn with the 1st apical cell closed (Zhang 1990: page 124 Figs 126F, 127F), leading to their incorrect genus placements as Alebra shaanxiensis (Ma) and Alebra xianensis (Ma) in Li's database (Li et al. 2021). Here, we transfer them to the genus Shaddai again and treat Alebra shaanxiensis (Ma) and Alebra xianensis (Ma) as invalid.
