Neoperla truncata Wu, 1948

Neoperla truncata Wu, 1948: 77 . Type locality: China: Sichuan (His-K’ang, T’ien-ch’uan).

Diagnosis and remarks. This species is readily recognized by the uniformly and moderately sclerotized aedeagus, and a row of distinct spines in dorsal, ventral and lateral aspects in males and very large rounded subgenital plate (figs. 5–7, Wu 1948). It is a possible member of N. clymene species group due to the uniformly sclerotized aedeagus, but that requires confirmation. This species is known only from the type series, collected in Tienchuan, Hsikang, now Tianquan County of Sichuan Province . Holotype, allotype and paratypes were deposited in Yenching University Collection, Beijing, China, but must be considered lost. We have no available specimens from Tianquan from our recent Sichuan Province collections. Hopefully, in the future typotypic material will become available.
