Lygaeus (Pyrrhocoris) gutta Burmeister, 1834: 300; Physopelya bimaculata Stål, 1855: 186; Physopelta guttata Yang, 2003: 200 (incorrect spelling); Physopelta gutta famelica Voigt, 2006: 224 (misidentification). Distribution in Iran. Kerman (Samin & Linnavuori 2015).

General distribution. South-eastern Palaearctic and Oriental Regions, including Afghanistan, Pakistan, Korea, Japan, southern China, Taiwan, Indian subcontinent (Stehlík & Kerzhner 1999; Kerzhner 2001; Stehlík 2007, 2013).

Comments. In Australasian Region another subspecies, P. gutta famelica is distributed (Stehlík 2013).
