Apterolarnaca (Bianigryllacris) sicula Zhang & Bian sp. nov. ńŵflüdzḋă

Figure 12

Description. Female. Fastigium verticis about two times as wide as scape. Face with scattered impressed dots (Fig. 12A). Ocelli indistinct. Pronotum with anterior and posterior margins truncate (Fig. 12B); lateral lobes longer than high, anterior angle widely rounded, posterior angle angular (Fig. 12C). Fore coxae swollen with 1 spine (Fig. 12B). Fore and middle femora unarmed on ventral surfaces, hind femora with 1 internal and 4 external spines on ventral surface. Fore tibiae ventrally with 4 pairs of spurs and 1 pair of apical spurs; middle tibiae ventrally with 3 pairs of spurs and 1 pair of apical spurs, dorsal surface with 1 internal spine. Hind tibiae arched with 2 internal and 5 external spines on dorsal surface, apices with 1 pair of dorsal spurs and 2 pairs of ventral spurs.

Second and third abdominal tergites each with two rows of stridulatory pegs (Fig. 12D). Seventh abdominal sternite normal. Subgenital plate slightly wider than long, lateral margins narrowing to apex which slightly convex in middle, posterior margin narrowly angular (Fig. 12G). Ovipositor short, apices narrowly rounded (Fig. 12F).

Male. Unknown.

Coloration. Body yellowish brown. Fastigium verticis with transverse black stripe between antennal cavities which short extending to dorsal surface of head along the middle area (Fig. 12A). Internal margins of antennal cavities black (Fig. 12A). Genae with longitudinal black stripe below eyes. Dorsal surface of head with semicircular black pattern, behind eyes with a short longitudinal black stripe on each side (Fig. 12B). Abdominal tergites with narrow black margins, dorsal surface of abdomen with a wide longitudinal black band. Apices of all femora black. Basal and apical areas of all tibiae with black rings, dorsal spines of hind tibiae black (Fig. 12E).

Material examined. Holotype: female, Yangmeiao, Jiuwanshan, Guangxi, August 5, 2021, coll. by Xiaoyu Peng.

Measurements (mm). Female: BL 20.5, PL 3.6, HFL 9.0, OvL 5.0.

Distribution. Guangxi (Jiuwanshan).

Discussion. Lu et al. (2022) thought the specimen from Jiuwanshan, Guangxi was Apterolarnaca (Bianigryllacris) fallax (Liu & Bi, 2008) . However, after examining the morphological graphs of type specimens of Apterolarnaca (Bianigryllacris) fallax (Liu & Bi, 2008), we thought the former was a new undescribed species. The new species differs from the latter by the posterior margin of female subgenital plate widely triangular in ventral view with a small angular in the middle instead of widely rounded (Fig. 12G). The morphological illustrations have been provided by Lu et al. (2022) in Fig. 5.

Etymology. The new species name drives from the posterior margin of female subgenital plate with a small angular.
