One species: C. jurate sp. nov.

This species-group defined by the everted phallus bearing on its distal portion two pairs of diverticula: dorso-lateral, and digitiform meso-ventral on each side (Pl. 21: Fig. 3). In addition, the group is distinguished from other Cibyra by: i) male sternite VIII uniformly sclerotised with V-shaped posterior margin; ii) tegumen extending beyond articulation with saccus; iii) posterior margin of saccus protruding; iv) tergal lobes C-shaped with protrusion; v) pseudotegumen slightly expanded mesally; vi) valvae slightly curved, digitiform and inner surface with ridges; vii) fultura inferior rectangular and bilobed dorsally; viii) female tergite VIII sclerotised in apposition to all congeneric species (Pl. 13: Figs 11–12), and; ix) plates of lamella antevaginalis with mesal corner projected and spiniform.

Distribution. Coastal and mainland between Minas Gerais and São Paulo in southeastern Brazil at altitudes between about 700 and 1400 m. The species occurs in the Cerrado, semi-deciduous and dense ombrophilous forests (Pl. 27: Fig. 2).
