Diagnosis. This and the next species are similar to each other. Differences are discussed under the latter.

Male (Pl. 8: Figs 2–4, Pl. 12: Fig. 1). Forewing length: 12–17 mm, wingspan: 27–36 mm. Epiphysis absent.
Male genitalia (Pl. 17: Fig. 5, Pl. 21: Fig. 5). Tergal lobes protruded. Saccus with posterior edge slightly concave, occupying about 1/3 of its total length. Tegumen slightly sinuate. Pseudotegumen with a mesal antero-ventral projection, ribbed. Fultura inferior trapezoidal, distally bilobed and 1.5× longer than wide.
Female (Pl. 8: Fig. 1). Forewing length: 24 mm, wingspan: 49 mm.
Female genitalia. Not dissected.
Distribution. Confined to the Serra Geral in the states of Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul, southern Brazil, between altitudes of 650 to 1400 m (Pl. 26: Fig. 2).
Remarks. A variable and scarce species in collections. Allopatric to all members of this species-group.
