Type: ― MEXICO. Sonora, Guaymas, 1887, Palmer 332 in part (holotype US 00102962 [image!] image available at http://n 2t.net/ ark:/65665/m326a48730-4dac-490a-8a7c-f674428909dd).

Distribution in Mexico: ―Endemic to the country, it is reported from Baja California Sur, Sinaloa and Sonora (Standley 1911, Villaseñor 2016). In Sonora it is known only from the type locality.
