Magnispina Mendes 2011: 448 [type species: Magnispina neptunus Mendes, 2011, by original designation]

Distribution. It occurs from Northern Espírito Santo State (São Mateus) to Southern Bahia State (Camacan, Ilhéus, Jussari and Una).

Type species: Magnispina neptunus Mendes, 2011 (Fig. 6 A–B), by original designation.

Diagnosis. Three dorsal scutum areas; dorsal scutum area III with a pair of well-developed paramedian tubercles. Free tergite II with robust, spiniform median apophysis; Free tergite III without a longitudinal keel. Dorsal anal operculum tuberculate. Ventral anal operculum with well-developed tubercles, some of them irregularly shaped. Calcaneus I same colored as the rest of the podomere and less than half of metatarsus I length. Femur IV curved (convex side outwards) in dorsal view. Penis with dorsal digitiform process of glans; ventral plate with 1 pair of MS A, MS B absent, 3–4 pairs of MS C, 1 pair of MS D, and 2 ventral pairs of reduced MS E.
