Description. ♀. Apterous; body length 2.5–3.4 mm. Head black, except mandible and clypeus yellow; antenna brown, except scape, pedicel and part of flagellomere 1 yellow; mesosoma black, except distal extremity of propo- deal declivity reddish; metasoma black; legs testaceous, except coxae and club of profemur brown or black. Head excavated, shiny, unsculptured, except occiput granulate; POL = 2; OL = 8; OOL = 23. Palpal formula 5/2. Pronotum crossed by strong transverse impression, shiny, unsculptured, except lateral regions granulate. Mesoscutum with two pointed apophyses laterally. Metanotum transversely striate, excavated behind mesoscutellum; sides of metanotum protruding; lateral protrusions of metanotum rounded. Metapectal-propodeal disc shiny, unsculptured or slightly alutaceous, with deep median longitudinal furrow; propodeal declivity transversely striate. In specimen from Botswana, 19°37’S 23°47’E, metapectal propodeal disc slightly granulate. Mesopleuron and metapleuron transversely striate. Meso-metapleural suture distinct and complete. Protarsomere 1 shorter than 4 (13:15). Enlarged claw (Fig. 222A) with one small subapical tooth and eight peg-like setae. Protarsomere 5 (Fig. 222A) with two rows of 4 (proximal) + 21 lamellae; apex with 14 lamellae. Tibial spurs 1/0/1.
